A few months ago, our Archivist Nicole found a recipe page in the front of a small appointment book in the family files collection dating back to 1829. Although the top recipe was unusable due to the use of mercury in the recipe, the bottom recipe for Ginger Pop was a great opportunity for a historical recipe project!

Oil Springs, ON - The Oil Museum of Canada and Fairbank Oil Fields are pleased to announce the return of horse-drawn wagon tours for the 2019 summer season.
These family-friendly tours departing from the Oil Museum of Canada will run every Sunday throughout the summer, weather dependent. Tours will depart at 12:00, 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. each Sunday until September 1, 2019 and are included in the price of museum admission.

Oil Springs, ON - The Oil Museum of Canada invites you to Black Gold Fest on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Black Gold Fest is a free, family-friendly event celebrating Lambton County's historical contributions to the development of the world's oil industry.
